History of Tin Huan :
The festival owes its origin to as early as 906 AD when Goddess Tin Huan had the power to predict the weather . She could foretell the impending storm or cyclone and saved the precious life of many fishermen and voyagers .
Celebration of Birthday of Tin Hau:
The fishermen and the seafarers often take out processions with colorful flags to seek the blessing of Goddess Tin Huan . The temple of Tin Hau are thronged by the devotees who worship Her and seek Her divine Blessing .
