Birthday of Confucius

Confucius is the most famous philosopher in China and better known by his Latin name. The original name of the great philosopher was K'ung Fo-tzu. October 1st is the birthday of Confucius. The wisdom of Confucius has offered ethical guidance to the Chinese people for across two thousand and five hundred years and later it becomes an important part of the ancient Chinese cultural and its traditions. Confucius was born in a little town of Tsu which is now turned into the Chinese Province named as Shantung. Confucius was alive circa 551-478 BC. The father of Confucius was a renowned judge and soldier. When Confucius was three years old, his father died leaving Confucius to become an adult in the outstanding pain of poverty. At the age of twenty two, Confucius began the first individual school in China. He was the teacher of that school and he taught his philosophy of ideal personal behavior, benefaction and justice by law.


In the area of mainland China or People's Republic of China, Confucius is respected on the great birthday of Confucius and in the island of Taiwan, he is offered respect on the anniversary of his birth which is September 28th.
