Tourist Attractions in Beijing



During the time, when the People's Republic of China was founded, the municipality of Beijing did consist of only its urban area as well as the suburban areas surrounding it. The urban area had been sub divided into small administrative districts. However, a number of regions have been included since then into the municipality of Beijing and the area has increased a lot since then. The city wall of Beijing was dismantled within three years from 1965 to 1969.
