Cuisine of China



Cuisine of China comprise of the separate cuisines of different Chinese provinces along with the various cuisines of the ethnic groups living there. The Chinese cuisine in general consists of two parts, the main dish of rice, noodles, or steamed buns (also known as mantou), and the side dishes of fish, vegetables or different kinds of meat. The cuisine of China also incorporates serving of soups either at the beginning or at the end of any meal.



There are different types of Chinese cuisines, based on the Chinese provinces, known like the Lu cuisine, Chuan cuisine, Yue cuisine, Min cuisine, Su cuisine, to name some. The cuisine of china is marked for the various types of Chinese dumplings like Jiaozi, Guotie, and Xiao Long Bao. Another authentic delicacy of China is the Hot Pot, which is served in all the Chinese eateries.



China is also known for her mouth-watering dish, Peking Duck, apart from some other specialties like Kung Pao chicken, Zongzi, Baozi, Congee, and Rice balls with rich coatings. The most popular dish of the cuisine of China is the Chinese stir-fry. A variety of eggs like Soy eggs, Tea eggs, and Century eggs are a part of Chinese cuisine. The desert part of Chinese cuisine are like Congee or rice porridge, Youtiao, Shaobing, or Mooncake, which is a special variety of cake generally served during festivals.
